Telangana: Two dead, nine injured in explosion at pharma company in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri

At least two people died, and nine others sustained severe burn injuries following a massive blast reported at a pharma company in Pochampally mandal of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district following a suspected reactor explosion in the area.

A district fire official provided details on the rescue effort, confirming that firefighting units from Choutuppal and nearby areas were deployed immediately to bring the situation under control, suspecting that a reactor may have exploded.

According to a Fire official, "Last night around 10:30, we received a call from locals saying that a blast occurred in a pharma company. One fire vehicle from Choutuppal and two from other places reached the spot.

The incident happened at HAZELO LAB PVT LTD in Dotigudem village of Pochampally mandal in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.

Two people lost their lives, and nine others sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

We suspect that a reactor may have exploded, and we are currently investigating the cause of the explosion."

According to the fire official, the bodies of the deceased have been shifted for post-mortem examination (PME) and the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
