Now, he has left behind Ibrahimovic, who had shared the record with Cristiano for scoring in 24 successive seasons before this match. Cristiano finished as the leading goal-scorer in the Saudi Pro League last season for Al Nassr with a total of 28 goals, third behind Al-Qadsiah's Mexican star Julian Quinones (33 goals) and Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney (32 goals) of England.
