In a big jolt to the opposition's INDIA bloc, several leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party, including the party's Haryana co-incharge, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday.

AAP's Haryana co-incharge, Dinesh Pratap Singh, party leader Mukesh Sinha, Praveen Rana and several other AAP leaders joined the BJP in the presence of Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva and BJP candidate from North East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari.

The Delhi BJP chief told ANI that big leaders like Dinesh Pratap Singh joining the BJP indicates that there is a difference between the words and actions of the Aam Aadmi Party.

"Today Dinesh Pratap Singh has joined BJP, he is a member of their (AAP) National Council and has been the observer of two states. Such a big leader is leaving the party because there is a difference between the words and actions of the Aam Aadmi Party. He has said that no one wants to stand with the enemies of the country," Virendra Sachdeva said.

Earlier, Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely joined the BJP yesterday amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, leaving the INDIA bloc in the fray.

Along with Lovely, former Congress MLAs Raj Kumar Chauhan, Naseeb Singh and Neeraj Basoya and former Youth Congress President Amit Mallik also joined the BJP.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, claiming that all the "corrupt" people are now with BJP.

"It is extremely unfortunate and shameful for Bharat Mata and every Indian that the Prime Minister of our country is cleansing the biggest of the corrupt and chanting slogans for BJP like, 'The greater the corrupt, the higher the rank or position.' This is BJP's slogan. All the corrupt people in the country are now with BJP," Singh said.

According to the seat-sharing agreement under the INDIA bloc, the Congress is fighting for 3 seats in Delhi while the AAP is contesting 4 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

All seven seats in Delhi will vote on May 25. The counting will take place on June 4.

Notably, the BJP has won all seven seats for the last two general elections. (ANI)
