Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy on Saturday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi over the recent raids on Congress leaders in Telangana, claiming that both parties were misusing the ED and Income Tax (IT) departments.

"The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are using the ED and the Income Tax (IT) department to target Congress leaders," the TPCC leader said.

Further, Reddy alleged that "the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the homes of individuals who helped Vivek Venkataswamy join the Congress party. "

On November 1, Venkataswamy, a former MP from the Peddapalli constituency, tendered his resignation from BJP and joined the Congress in the presence of AICC former president Rahul Gandhi.

"When Vivek was in the BJP, the BJP used to say he was a very good man. Now they see him as Ravan," the TPCC President said.

"The Congress party has not earned any money during the current government's tenure and has not distributed money to anyone. K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), the Chief Minister of Telangana, is buying votes with money," the TPCC President said.

"Recently PM Modi and Amit Shah said that they will take action against KCR when they come to power. During the last 10 years, you did not do anything. You changed your state president, as KCR had asked." TPCC President Revanth Reddy said.

TPCC President Reddy also refuted the BJP's claim that it was fighting against the BRS and accused the BRS and BJP of coordinating with each other to defeat Congress in Telangana instead.

"The BJP said that they are going to defeat BRS, which is not correct; they are hand in glove; they are coordinating to defeat the Congress party. The state government and the central government are both working together," Reddy said. (ANI)
