Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC Morcha president, K Laxman said that the Congress is "playing" with the emotions of Telangana people by making false promises.

"Congress is playing with the emotions of Telangana people by making false promises. Congress deceived the people of the state. I want to tell people to beware of the Congress," Laxman told ANI.

"I request everyone not to vote for the Congress. They deceived the people of Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan. PM Narendra Modi is the only person who develops the state and brings food to the plates of the weaker section of society", he added.

Telangana will go for Assembly elections on November 30 and counting of votes, along with those of four other poll-bound states, has been scheduled for December 3.

Telangana is set to witness an intriguing triangular contest between the BRS, Congress, and BJP.

In the previous Assembly elections in 2018, the BRS won 88 of the 119 seats, hogging 47.4 per cent of the total vote share. The Congress finished a distant second with 19 seats and a vote share of 28.7 per cent. (ANI)
