Coasting along losing two wickets, the Knight Riders needed 48 runs in the last 36 balls with eight wickets standing to pull off an upset victory. But with no big hitting from Manoj Tiwari, the Super Kings could still hope for a miracle. Gambhir though coasted to his 50 off 43 balls in the 15th over. Albie Morkel, the pacer struck to remove Manoj Riwari(12, 13 bls one four) for the Knight Riders to lose their third wicket in 16.1 overs. As out of form Yusuf pathan joined Gambhir,there was still hope for Super Kings as Knight Riders were 118-3 in 17 overs, needing 22 off the last 18 balls, the dangerous Ashwin coming on to bowl. But it was Bravo who struck for a second time trapping Gambhir leg before wicket to deal a big blow to Kinght Riders. Gambhir's spendid 64 off 53 balls had sis fours and a six.
