In a neck-to-neck race, Sterling Swingers got the better of former champions Christie's Golf, winning the last three games in succession, to top their group on Day 7 of the Delhi Golf Club Members League at the historic Delhi Golf Club on Friday. Sterling Swingers pocketed 10 points for their effort while Christies had to settle for 4 points.

The fourth and final match of the day began with Christie's Golf winning the opening game, according to a release. Sterling Swingers came back with a bang to win the second and third games to go one up. Christies fought back to win the fourth. This is where their luck ran out as Sterling Swingers stepped on the gas to win the final three games in a row.

The opening match of the day witnessed a whitewash. Baale Golf won all seven of their games against Bharat Strikers. This earned Baale Golf 14 crucial points while Bharat Strikers became the only team this season not to open their account in a match.

The second match of the day, between Sudhir Power and Tee Birds, began with a win for Sudhir Power in the opening game. The second game was tied, but Sudhir Power registered a win in the third to go two up with four to play. Tee Birds' Owner Siddharth Sahni and former leading Amateur Gagan Verma turned the tide in their team's favour by winning the fourth game.

The fifth game too went in the Tee Birds' favour, and scores were level with two games left to play. Sudhir Power won the sixth game, but Tee Birds came back with a bang to win the seventh game and tie. Both teams pocketed 7 points each.

In the third match of the day between Bajaj Foundation and Bliss Golfers, Bajaj Foundation started with a hat-trick of wins in the first three games. Bliss Golfers won the fourth game, but Bajaj Foundation drove the nail further into the coffin with wins in the fifth and sixth games. A win in the seventh game was nothing more than a consolation prize for Bliss Golfers, who pocketed 4 points today, as against Bajaj Foundation's tally of 10. (ANI)
