Delhi Capitals (DC) captain, Axar Patel has credited MS Dhoni for playing a significant role in his personal and professional growth, revealing the close bond he shares with the legendary former India skipper.

"After the World Cup and after the Champions Trophy, he sent me a message and before that, I mean, in the 2021 World Cup, he came as a mentor and then I talked to him about all this. That this is happening in the mindset and after that, you can see in my performance, a little credit goes to Mahi bhai that whatever has changed," he said. The DC skipper acknowledged that Dhoni's words made a difference, which eventually reflected in his on-field performance.
