Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 11: After a match-winning partnership with Delhi Capitals (DC) wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul, Tristan Stubbs described his innings as satisfying, coming in during a tricky situation but with the run-rate manageable against the clash with Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday.

He credited KL Rahul's batting for making his job easier and acknowledged that the DLS par score was briefly discussed but not a significant concern. He focused on giving himself time to adjust after the team lost wickets and compared the situation to last year's run chase at the same venue.

He praised Tim David's performance and emphasized the importance of adapting to different batting positions and enjoying the pressure of batting later in the game.

"It was really satisfying, came in a bit of a tricky situation but the run-rate never got out of hand. To be honest, I didn't have to do much with the way KL Rahul batted. We briefly mentioned it (about DLS par score) but I never really thought about it, we had so much extra time, so you always come back out here, so it's about time to kick on. (On his mindset when he came into bat) Just gave myself some time, we lost quite a number of wickets. We were in a similar position in the run-chase last year (at this venue). We had lost four wickets and then kept on losing wickets. I saw what Tim did in the end, it was just about one big over. Every sort of position is so different, so you just tailor and be prepared for batting at the end. Often you enjoy batting later on in the game, in the beginning, you have to adjust quicker," Tristan Stubbs said in the post-match presentation.

The spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam put on a noteworthy comeback as Delhi Capitals restricted Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a fair 163/7 in their IPL match on Thursday. As DC pursued, KL Rahul (93* off 53) stood out as they defeated RCB by six wickets.

KL Rahul's stellar finish drove DC to their fourth victory, and Axar Patel's exceptional leadership played a key role in the achievement. Despite a commendable team effort, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced consecutive home losses, marking their second defeat in the tournament. KL Rahul was awarded player of the match for his brilliant innings.
