With the exam season underway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on monday urged students to tune in to the latest episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha on February 18 at 11 am, where they can learn strategies to tackle exam stress and anxiety from "exam warriors"--toppers who will share their experiences on managing stress in the days leading up to examinations.
"Hear it from the best experts. The Exam Warriors who have successfully overcome exam stress and anxiety. Tomorrow's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' features my young friends who will share their experiences," posted PM Modi on X. The official handle of MyGovIndia also shared details about the episode, stating, "Catch the latest episode of #ParikshaPeCharcha2025, where toppers spill the tea on beating exam stress, anxiety, and staying chill under pressure. Don't miss it! February 18, 11 am." The handle also posted a short video preview of the episode, featuring toppers invited as guests, who shared their inspiring journeys and tips on staying calm, managing pressure, and handling exam stress like a pro. The guests on the show includes Radhika Singhal---CBSE Topper 2022-2023, ISC Exam Topper 2024---Shuchismita Adhikari, Brahmacharimayum Nistha---PPC Anchor and MBBS Student, manipur University and Ashish Kumar Verma PPC Anchor---IIT Delhi Student. In the episode, the toppers were seen offering advice to the gathering of students. While one underlined that the focus should remain on learning, stating that exams are just a formality, others highlighted the significance of extracurricular activities, saying they help build confidence. Another topper said, "If you putforth the effort, good things will be bestowed on you. That's true for the game, for exams and for life too." Speaking about the strategies, the guests interacted with the gathering with an interview masterclass with students. Ashish Kumar Verma shared his strategy and said, "Eliminate the problems, focus on time management, strategise and move forward." Providing Power Mantras for the exams, the toppers said, "Focus on the weaker subjects, be happy but not satisfied, when you're stressed, share with others even if you think you are alone on this journey." This comes as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) commenced the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 on February 15. The ICSE Class 12 examinations for 2025 began on February 17 while the Class 10 examinations begin tomorrow. The ISC Class 12 exams began on February 13. Earlier in the day, Indian rifle shooter and Paralympics double gold medalist Avani Lekhara, IAS officer and para-badminton silver medalist Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, and boxer and Olympic bronze medalist Mary Kom interacted with the students as they appeared on the eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme. "Consistency matters a lot. If you study daily with complete focus, you will be able to retain it. There are breathing exercises that help you maintain your heart rate and keep you calm," Avani Lekhara said as quoted by DD. Further, the Paris Paralympics silver medallist Suhas Yathiraj encouraged the children to work hard in whichever field they are interested in. "You should first ask yourself if you can achieve the top 5 per cent of whichever field you choose. Second thing, do you have the passion to pursue it? And if your heart says yes to it, then your parents will also agree to it," Suhas said. In the end, former boxing champion MC Mary Kom said that one should be strong if he/she wants to take up the challenges."If you want to take up challenges, you must be strong enough...I became a champion after facing many challenges. If I can do it, then why can't you?" Mary Kom said. The 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' episode was broadcast across platforms, including on the Prime Minister and PMO's X profile and the PM's YouTube Channel.Since 2018, PM Modi has been hosting this annual event to interact with students, teachers, and parents, offering guidance on staying stress-free during exams. The event is organised by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. The first three editions of Pariksha Pe Charcha were held in New Delhi in a town-hall interactive format. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fourth edition was conducted online as a telecast on Doordarshan and all major TV channels. The fifth, sixth, and seventh editions were again held in a town-hall format at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. (ANI)
