The Indian Embassy in Lebanon facilitated the return of five Indian nationals from the Gulf region. The Embassy expressed gratitude to the Lebanese authorities for the smooth exit.
In a post on X, the Embassy said, "The Embassy of India in Beirut has successfully facilitated the return of 5 Indian nationals to India. The Embassy of India in Beirut stands committed to extending best possible assistance to Indian nationals in Lebanon, it said in a statement on Instagram. Meanwhile, Israeli air attacks on southern and eastern Lebanon killed at least 13 people and injured over 12, in violation of a ceasefire brokered by the US last month, Al Jazeera. At least four people were killed and three others injured in an Israeli air strike attack on the town of Zellaya in eastern Lebanon, Al Jazeera reported, citing local sources. "IDF troops inside a Hezbollah weapons storage facility prior to its dismantling where dozens of explosive devices and anti-tank missiles were located.
