BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy has underscored the significant contribution of Bihar and its students to the global Artificial Intelligence (AI) research landscape, noting that the industry is currently valued at 40 billion dollars worldwide.

Speaking to reporters about the integration of technology in the state's education system, Rudy stated that AI is no longer a distant concept but is being actively utilised in academic institutions.

"The AI industry is valued at 40 billion dollars globally, and there is ongoing AI research worldwide across various sectors. There is a substantial contribution of Bihar and its students in AI research. AI is being used in colleges and universities," the BJP MP said.

Rudy further commended the Bihar government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, for taking proactive steps to institutionalise AI learning through permanent programs.

"The Bihar government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, has initiated permanent AI educational programs, marking a significant step forward. This will benefit the future generation of Bihar," Rudy added.

The remarks come as the state focuses on modernising its technical education framework to equip students with future-ready skills.

Earlier today, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated a two-day workshop, 'Bihar AI Summit 2026,' at the Energy Auditorium in Patna, asserting the state's resolve to become a frontrunner in the global digital revolution.

"Inaugurated the two-day Bihar AI Summit 2026 workshop at the Energy Auditorium in Patna. Our resolve is to make Bihar a leading state in the digital revolution, powered by youth power, startups, and innovation," Choudhary said in a post on X.

The Chief Minister further detailed how AI-based development is set to transform the core sectors of the state, making governance more efficient and accessible to the common man.

"AI-based development will make education, health, agriculture, and administrative systems more effective and beneficial to the public," he added. (ANI)
