Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said youth has consistently benefited from the Rozgar Mela in the last four years.

Addressing the event in Jaipur, Vaishnaw said, "Today, PM Modi has given appointment letters to over 51,000 youth across the country for jobs in various departments of the Government of India. This is a huge, continuous service called the 'Rojgar Mela', which has been running for 4 years, and millions of youth have been given jobs so far."

He said the initiative demonstrates the Centre's continued focus on job creation and empowering the youth through employment in different government sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under the Rozgar Mela initiative.

Congratulating the youth, the Prime Minister stated that they are stepping into their roles at a crucial juncture and will serve as responsible partners in the nation's growth story.

"Today, more than 51,000 youth have received appointment letters for government jobs. Today, all of you are becoming important partners, responsible partners, in the country's development journey," PM Modi said while addressing the appointees.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the new inductions span several critical sectors, which will be instrumental in driving the country forward.

"You are all going to assume new responsibilities in railways, banking, defence, health, education, and many other sectors. You will all play a crucial role in fulfilling the resolve for a developed India in the coming years," he added.

Rozgar Mela campaign aligns with the government's sustained focus on employment generation and youth empowerment, integrating new talent into various central ministries, departments, and state administrations to boost public service delivery.

Rozgar Melas primarily target youth aged 18 to 35, accommodating a range of academic qualifications, including those who have completed 8th, 10th, and 12th grades, as well as ITI, Diploma, and Graduate degrees. This also includes trained and certified candidates who meet the National Skills Qualifications Framework standards. (ANI)
