As the world celebrates International Women's Day, the Hyderabad City Police has organised the "Run For Action-2025" program. This program has been organised at the People's Plaza, located in Necklace Road in Hyderabad.
Speaking to ANI, the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police said that over 5,000 students have participated in this event. He stated that the theme of this event is Run for Action and accelerate action on women's safety and women's empowerment. "International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th all over the world, and today the theme is Run for Action and accelerate action on women's safety and women empowerment. Today, over 5,000 students have participated here in the 5k and 2k run to celebrate this event..." said CV Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City. Meanwhile, to mark International Women's Day uniquely, the Central Railways is operating a Vande Bharat Express with an all-women crew for the first time. The Vande Bharat Express (22223) sourcing from CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) CSMT to the destination of Shirdi has an all-women crew today, including the loco pilot, assistant loco pilot, train manager, TCs and train Hostesses. Speaking to ANI, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Central Railways said that they have taken same initiative in a goods trains also and will try to continue this initiative in other Vande Bharat trains too. Expressing her joy, Loco Pilot Mail, Central Railway Mumbai, Surekha Shankar Yadav, said, "Today Vande Bharat train 18 is being run with an all-women crew. I am happy that I got an opportunity to be a part of this team. I wish all women a Happy Women's Day..." Calling it a "proud moment," the Central Railway Passenger Train Manager, Shweta Ghone, said, "This is a proud moment for us... If a woman can perform a hard task like giving birth, then what can't she do? Society needs to understand this. When a woman becomes capable, she can make her entire family capable. If every woman becomes capable, then how can our country not progress?..." CSMT-Shirdi Train Hostess Rubina Begum also expressed her joy on being part of this initiative, stating, "Every woman should be self-reliant and independent...
