On Raipur South assembly by-poll, Deputy CM Arun Sao told reporters on Saturday, "...Brijmohan Agrawal has represented Raipur South for 8 consecutive times. BJP has always received the blessings of the people of Raipur South."

He expressed confidence that the BJP will too get the support of the people in this bypoll. "This time too, the BJP will definitely get the blessings of the people of Raipur South. 'Lotus' will ' bloom' in Raipur South once again..."

On October 15, the Election Commission announced bypolls to 48 assembly constituencies including nine seats in Uttar Pradesh and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala.
