Expressing optimism about the seat-sharing speculation between the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress for the upcoming elections in Haryana, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said on Saturday that he is hopeful that the seat-sharing will be finalised.

"I hope it (alliance/seat sharing) will be finalised. Ummeed pe duniya kaayam hai (The world stands on hope)," the AAP MP said after meeting with AICC in charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria, at the residence of Congress leader and Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy.

After the meeting, Deepak Babaria said that they are hopeful that the results regarding the alliance will come out in two days.

"Congress has given me this responsibility, and this was my second or third meeting with Raghav Chadha in the last two days. We are exchanging the locations and numbers, and we hope that results will come out in two days. It depends; if it will be a win-win situation for both Congress and AAP, then we will go into a coalition; I am trying for that. It may happen (changes in the names of already declared candidates)," he said.

Earlier, AAP MP and General Secretary, Organization, Sandeep Pathak, said that the party is just waiting for the leadership's orders to announce the candidates for the Assembly elections.

"Whatever information you all have, I also have the same information, Raghav ji would have briefed you all yesterday. But on behalf of the party, volunteers, and leadership of the party I can say that we are ready to contest elections with full strength everywhere, on every seat. Whoever underestimates us will regret it in the future," said Pathak in a press conference.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala hit out at the two parties saying that the alliance lacks mission and a vision. He further said that they are the same parties that are against each other in Punjab and Delhi but their possible efforts regarding alliance shows their desperation in Haryana.

The BJP leader said, "INDI alliance has no mission and vision. They have their own ambitions and operate through their confusion, and they have an obsession with Modi. They want to protect their corruption. That's why they form an alliance in some places, however, it breaks later on. In Punjab, AAP and Congress are against each other. In Delhi, they were together earlier. Now there are uncertainties (between AAP and Congress) in Haryana."

The voting to the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8. (ANI)
