Noting that he had left no no stone unturned to fulfil the agenda of first 100 days in office in his third term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the decisions taken by government were aimed at improving lives of people.

PM Modi unveiled multiple development projects of railways, road, power, housing and finance sectors worth more than Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad.

"During the Lok Sabha elections, I guaranteed the countrymen that unprecedented decisions would be taken in the first 100 days of my third term. In the last 100 days, I spared no effort to fulfil the agenda of 100 days. I left no stone unturned in India and abroad. You people have sent me to Delhi by making me take a pledge to put the nation first. I did not see day and night, put all efforts to complete the 100-day agenda. Be it in the country or abroad, whatever efforts were to be made, they were made; no stone was left unturned," he said.

"During these 100 days, work has commenced on projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore. I promised during the elections to construct 3 crore new houses, and we are making rapid progress on this. Whether it's in villages or cities, we are focused on improving people's lives," he added.

He also referred to the development initiatives unveiled by him.

"Everyone is celebrating Ganesh Utsav...Today Milad un-Nabi is also being celebrated...Several festivals are being celebrated across the country. In this time of celebration, the celebration of development also continues...Today the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs. 8,000 crores has been laid here. Today Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has also been inaugurated," the Prime Minister added.

He also spoke of the heavy rains in the state and the Centre and state governments are doing their best to provide relief to people.

"This year, many regions of Gujarat have faced massive rains. For the first time in a long time, heavy rains have been witnessed in such a short time. Due to this, we have lost our kiths and kin... The central and state governments are doing their best for the affected people. I pray for the speedy recovery of the people who are being treated," he said.

PM Modi on Monday flagged off India's first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad and several Vande Bharat trains, including on routes - Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi - and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi.

He also handed over completed houses under both the urban and rural segments of the PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) to the beneficiaries of the state in Gujarat's Ahmedabad.

He sanctioned more than 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin and released the first instalment for these houses, as well as launch construction of houses under the PMAY Scheme. (ANI)
