BJP leader and former Union Minister V Muraleedharan has criticised Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly trying to silence Nilambur Independent MLA PV Anvar over allegations raised by him against the Additional Director General of Police (law and order) M R Ajith Kumar .

"Kerala has been in the thick of a storm during the last couple of days wherein a ruling party MLA has raised a serious allegation that the ADGP who is incharge of specifically law and order is more notorious than Dawood Ibrahim," said the BJP leader.

Muraleedharan further elaborated on the allegations that the Kerala Chief Minister might be linked to the allegations levied on the ADGP. "That he is party to gold smuggling. These allegations have been raised by a ruling party MLA against the ADGP of the Kerala government who is considered to be a close confidant of the chief minister. The allegation also has been raised that the political secretary to the chief minister is also a link in all these operations."

Left backed independent MLA, Anwar had raised serious allegations against Pinarayi Vijayan's political secretary P Sasi, ADGP law and order M R Ajith Kumar and Pathanamthitta Superintendant of Police Sujit Das.

Anwar has alleged that the Chief Minister's political secretary and ADGP breached the trust of the CM and they failed to deliver their responsibilities honestly.

Muraleedharan said in his statement that Anvar has been silenced even though he was giving repeated press conferences before. "But now the latest situation is that the person who raised these allegations, P V Anvar has been silenced. He has been for the last three days meeting the media, saying that the CM's office is giving leadership to murders, but now in effect he has swallowed all these allegations." the BJP leader said

"But I want to remind the chief minister and his office that you cannot silence the Kerala community. You cannot silence Kerala society", Muraleedharan said.

Kerala Chief Minister has assured an investigation without any prejudice on the allegations raised by the MLA. At a public function of police association meeting at Kottayam, Chief Minister Vijayan said, "There has been several allegations in the past day. Government's stand is very clear, there will be investigation without any prejudice." The CM also mentioned that the police officer of the highest rank will enquire into the allegations. (ANI)
