Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav said that his upcoming state tour starting on September 10 is focused on dialogue with party workers.

"The current yatra will focus on dialogue with party workers," the former Bihar deputy Chief Minister said.

He further stated that he will meet the public of Bihar in November-December this year, but reflected scepticism about whether that will be through a public meeting or a Padyatra.

"We will go to every district of Bihar, first there will be dialogue with the workers; after that, in November-December, we will go on a yatra with the public of Bihar, whether it is a public meeting or a padyatra, but it will happen in November-December," the RJD leader said.

Earlier, Jan Suraaj Chief Prashant Kishor criticised Yadav's upcoming state tour starting on September 10, challenging him to connect with constituents on foot rather than relying on a convoy of vehicles and staged photo opportunities. He dismissed Yadav's promises of government jobs as deceptive, citing the existing 23 lakh government employees in Bihar, which only account for 1.97 percent of the population.

He argued that even if Yadav delivered on his promises, 98 percent of people would still be unaffected.

Kishor challenged Yadav to speak for five minutes on socialism without reading from a paper, suggesting that Yadav lacks the understanding necessary to discuss such concepts.

Earlier on September 2, launching a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over caste census, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav said that they (BJP) have already mentioned that caste census should not happen and that there is a difference between what they say and what they practice.

"This is the strength of Lalu Yadav that today whether it is caste census or reservation, no one can openly say that this should not happen, but there is a hidden motive in their mind that they do not want this to happen... The BJP government has already said that caste census should not happen...There is a difference between their words and actions," said Tejashwi Yadav. (ANI)
