A 22-year-old man died during treatment at a hospital, hours after he was allegedly stabbed by another man in Delhi's Prasad Nagar following a quarrel, police said on Saturday. Four people were arrested two hours following the incident.

A case has been registered and 4 people have been arrested in this case. The accused have been identified as Jugnu, Amit, Vicky, and Karan. All of them work in jeans factories, police said.

An information regarding the stabbing was received at Prasad Nagar police station during the intervening night of 15-16 August. Subsequently, a 22-year-old male Monu died during treatment in hospital, police said.

The accused as well as deceased hail from the same neighbourhood in Bapa Nagar and know each other well. Investigation so far revealed that Karan stabbed the deceased Monu during a quarrel. The knife has been recovered, police said.

"The quarrel started when Jugnu's scooty and a vehicle driven by the deceased's friend Neeraj had a minor accident two hours before this stabbing incident. The accident was not reported to police by either party," police said.

Deceased Monu had a past criminal involvement in a hurt case, police said.
