Andhra CM witnesses Covid vaccination at Vijayawada GGH

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy personally witnessed Coronavirus vaccination at government general hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada on Saturday.

Accompanied by a host of officials and medical personnel, Reddy watched a nurse, Ch. Naga Jyothi, receiving the vaccine shot.

He spoke to Jyothi as she waited for the vaccine. Krishna district collector Imitiaz explained Reddy about the vaccination details.

Earlier, when he entered the hospital, health commissioner Katamaneni Bhaskar and principal secretary Anil Singhal explained the registration and authentication procedure.

Following witnessing the vaccination, Reddy unveiled a few posters.

Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, chief secretary Aditya Nath Das, Praveen Prakash and several other officials accompanied the Chief Minister.

Nilam Sawhney, the just retired Chief Secretary, who has been appointed as an advisor to the CM also took part in the poster unveiling.

Meanwhile, Coronavirus vaccination has started at several other places in the southern state.

Until Friday, Andhra Pradesh has seen more than 8.85 lakh Coronavirus infections, out of which 2,199 are active.
