4th National Bar & Bench Badminton Championship, Organised and Sponsored by Deka Events, Concludes in New Delhi; Around 400 Legal Professionals Participate

New Delhi [India], August 10: The fourth edition of the National Bar & Bench Badminton Championship concluded on Sunday at the Thyagraj Sports Complex in New Delhi, with around 400 lawyers and legal professionals from across the country participating in the two-day sporting event.

Held on August 8 and 9, the championship was organised and sponsored by Deka Events in association with the Lawyers Badminton Association. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, fitness, camaraderie, and a healthy work-life balance within the legal fraternity.

Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice B. R. Gavai, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Among the distinguished attendees were Hon'ble Mr. Justice Tej Pratap Tiwari, Judge, Allahabad High Court; Mr. Vikas Singh, President, Supreme Court Bar Association; Ms. Pinky Anand, Judge, Bahrain; Mr. Sacchin Puri, Vice President, Delhi High Court Bar Association; Mr. Devvrat, President, SCAORA; Mr. Nikhil Jain; Mr. Rohit from SCAORA; and Ms. Vidhi, Member, Delhi High Court Bar Association.

The championship featured competitions across multiple categories and brought together members of the legal fraternity from different parts of the country, providing an opportunity to interact beyond the courtroom through sports.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Abantika Deka, Founder of Deka Events, thanked the distinguished guests, participants, supporters, and the organising team for contributing to the successful conduct of the championship.

She said the successful completion of the fourth edition reflects the growing enthusiasm for sports within the legal community and reinforces the importance of encouraging fitness, professional camaraderie, and work-life balance.

Deka Events said it will continue to organise the championship in the coming years with the aim of expanding it into an even larger national platform for members of the Bar and Bench.
