New Delhi [India], April 22: Pavilion Mall Ludhiana became the epicentre of cultural celebration as it hosted 'Baisakhi Blast', a grand folk-dance competition organised in association with The Times of India on April 14. The event beautifully captured the essence of Punjab's most vibrant festival, bringing together tradition, talent, and community spirit in a high-energy celebration.

Baisakhi, known for its deep cultural roots, was brought to life through electrifying performances of bhangra and gidda, set to the rhythmic beats of the dhol. The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 150 participants from Ludhiana taking part across multiple categories. Dancers from all age groups showcased their skills, making it a truly inclusive platform for emerging and established talent alike.

The competition was structured into solo, duet, and group performances, further divided into three age categories--kids (5-10 years), teens (11-16 years), and adults (17-25 years). Open to both male and female participants, the event encouraged creativity, expression, and a deeper connection with Punjabi folk traditions. Each performance reflected the vibrancy and storytelling of Punjab's cultural heritage.

Adding prestige to the event, renowned personalities including Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Virk and Punjabi actor Sonu Pardhan attended as special guests. The judging panel comprised respected names such as Jatinder Singh Jagga, Gurpreet Singh Soni, Harshvardhan Dham, Amandeep Singh, and Gurjeet Singh, who evaluated the performances with keen expertise.

Winners were felicitated with exciting prizes, including cycles sponsored by Tru E Bikes, smartwatches by Pavilion Mall, and gift hampers from Havells and Mama Grain. These rewards not only recognised talent but also motivated participants to perform with passion and dedication.

Beyond the stage performances, the event offered a complete festive experience with interactive zones and community engagement activities. DCM YES School contributed with tattoo-making and student engagement activities, while Fortis Hospital set up a first-aid and blood pressure check-up booth to ensure the well-being of attendees.

Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Singh, Manager-Marketing at Pavilion Mall, expressed pride in hosting such a dynamic initiative that united culture and community. Industry leaders and partners also appreciated the event for promoting young talent and celebrating Punjabi traditions.

The event was supported by multiple partners including Virasat-E-Cultural Folk Club (production partner), CT University and DCM YES School (education partners), Mama Grain (nutrition partner), Tru E Bikes (cycling partner), Havells India Ltd (gifting partner), and Fortis Hospital (healthcare partner).

With its vibrant performances, enthusiastic participation, and seamless execution, Baisakhi Blast successfully showcased the true spirit of Punjab, leaving lasting memories for participants and visitors alike. This event is managed and powered by Mediavox Digital.
