TIANJIN, China, June 29, 2023 /PRNewswire/ --  Yuki Wei, Vice President of TCL Technology and Chairman of the TCL Charity Foundation, spoke at a roundtable discussion titled "Restoring the Natural Ecosystem" on June 27, as part of the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, also known as "2023 Summer Davos Forum". During the session, she shared her personal thoughts and TCL's corporate perspectives and practices on green and sustainable development.

Yuki Wei spoke on behalf of TCL at 2023 Summer Davos.

Over the past 50 years, with human exploitation of natural resources exceeding the Earth's capacity for self-restoration, the average number of wild animals has decreased by 69%, posing significant challenges to the environment. On this front, Wei stated that the path to symbiosis between humans and nature should be guided by technological innovation and leadership.

As a global technology company, TCL adheres to the mission of "Leading Technology, Harmonious Coexistence" in its development and is committed to fostering green development within the tech manufacturing industry. In 2022, TCL launched TCLGreen, a global initiative aimed at supporting a more sustainable planet for all. The campaign calls on people from all walks of life to participate in the cause of green and sustainable growth, creating a green future together.

Wei shared personal thoughts and TCL’s corporate perspectives and practices on sustainability.

"Ecological restoration is a long-term and complex process," said Wei. "We at TCL are dedicated to sustainable development and environmental protection and have been actively participating in ecological restoration by way of innovative technologies, green product design, and sustainable resource management. With stronger global partnerships, advances in technology, and increased public awareness, I'm confident in the future of our Earth."

Green development has long underpinned TCL's overall business and global branding. The company pursues sustainable growth through green manufacturing and intelligent green production, with a focus on net-zero goals. Following the principle of lean, automated, and intelligent transformation, TCL aims to build model green factories that help meet global carbon targets.

To promote green growth in the manufacturing industry and accelerate industrial transformation, TCL has championed the construction of green factories and obtained 11 international and national certifications. In addition, TCL has implemented a comprehensive green supply chain management system, covering various aspects from R&D to logistics and recycling, maximizing green manufacturing to provide consumers with more green and low-carbon products.

"TCL attaches great importance to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with education, clean energy, and biodiversity as our key priorities," added Wei. "Leveraging TCL's industrial and technological advantages, we shall proactively explore more integration and symbiosis of technology and philanthropy."

At this year's Summer Davos, TCL's founder and chairman, Dongsheng Li, was also present as a representative of the global tech industry. Moreover, he served as a guest speaker at the "Asia's Manufacturing Recovery" roundtable forum, sharing TCL's experience in globalization, green and low-carbon initiatives, best practices in entrepreneurship, and more.

TCL is a leading global intelligent technology company with a mission to 'Inspire Greatness'. As a leading technology company, TCL provides diversified consumer electronics covering TVs, smartphones, audio and smart home products, as well as display technology and clean energy solutions. TCL is committed to bringing smart technology experiences and healthy lifestyles to consumers around the world.
