Christofferson will report to Mike Salvino, DXC’s president and chief executive officer, as a key advisor on embedded and emerging risks. “The management of enterprise risk is a critical function for global companies today,” Salvino said. “We are fortunate to have someone with Carla’s experience and judgement join the DXC team.”

In her role, Christofferson will lead risk management, including the ethics and compliance function, cybersecurity preparedness, resiliency and security, brand protection initiatives and asset protection.

Christofferson also will be advancing DXC’s enterprise-level resilience strategy to enable leaders to respond to security and business disruptions in an efficient and consistent manner, keeping the safety and security of employees at the forefront while protecting company assets.

“I am excited to join a team invested and focused on creating a safe and secure environment for our people, our business, and our clients,” Christofferson said. “It is an honor to serve as DXC’s chief risk officer and I look forward to building upon existing programs to help DXC tackle current and future challenges.”

Christofferson brings significant experience in senior leadership roles. Prior to joining DXC she was at AECOM, a leading infrastructure firm, where she served as executive vice president and chief legal officer. She led AECOM's risk management, IT security, physical security and safety, health & environment departments. She also oversaw the company’s legal organization globally, including litigation, government affairs, ethics and compliance, SEC reporting, and transaction-related legal activities.

In 2015, Christofferson was managing partner at O’Melveny & Myers, a Los Angeles law firm. During her 22-year tenure, she represented clients in a number of industries, including power, energy and oil and gas.

Christofferson is active in Los Angeles community affairs and has served on the boards of the Los Angeles Library Foundation and the Metropolitan YMCA. She received a law degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of North Dakota.
