"Our welcome in Ranchi has been wonderful; in fact, it's one of the best receptions that we have received. We are looking forward to playing against India as it's their home ground. We are excited to play in this tournament as it will help our young team to gain good exposure which will help them prepare for future challenges," Malaysia Coach Nasihin Ibrahim said as quoted by Hockey India.

Further speaking on the team's strategy in the tournament, Ibrahim said, "We will focus on one game at a time and prepare accordingly to get results in our favour."

Meanwhile, Malaysia Captain Juliani Din commented, "We have prepared well for the tournament and the recently played Asian Games also helped us in gearing up for this tournament. We will focus on playing our natural game and aim to give our best. Also, we are excited to play against India as they are a very good side and will enjoy the home crowd advantage, so I believe it will be a good competition between both teams." (ANI)
