As the announced date for the formal signing of the peace deal with Iran nears, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday reiterated his stern warning regarding the necessity for compliance with the MoU, threatening resumption of "bombing" if the talks collapse.

Addressing a press conference on the sidelines of the 52nd G7 summit, the US President asserted that non-compliance with the announced peace deal, including the crucial 60-day negotiation period regarding Iran's uranium enrichment activities, can result in dire repercussions.

The US President reaffirmed the US' commitment towards eliminating Iran's nuclear capabilities.

"It's a Memorandum of Understanding. If it doesn't get done in 60 days, that's alright -- we go back to bombing. I don't want to do that because it's so good, but we might have to because we're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon," Trump said.

Trump also said that the US could have continued the military action for another "two years," had the agreement not been reached.

"If we didn't do this deal, we could have dropped more bombs for another three weeks, two weeks, four weeks, two years," he said.

President Trump asserted that the agreement fulfils key strategic goals, specifically the end of the conflict, the restoration of transit through the Strait of Hormuz, and the permanent prevention of Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

"On Sunday, we reached an agreement with Iran that achieves everything we set out to accomplish, everything and much more. Ending the current conflict, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and preventing Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon. That's what it was all about. That was about 99%. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. They can't develop it, buy it. They can never have a nuclear weapon," he said.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said that the MoU is "not final," threatening that the war may resume if "they don't behave."

Speaking during a bilateral meeting with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the G7 summit, Trump firmly stated that the US will go back to "dropping bombs" if he is unappreciative of the final shape of the deal.

Asked by reporters if the agreement between the US and Iran was now final, Trump said, "It's not final. It's a memorandum of understanding, and if I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting them, dropping bombs on their heads. If I don't like it, if they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head. Okay? 'Cause they've misbehaved for 47 years."

Meanwhile, preliminary details are beginning to filter through ahead of the impending US-Iran memorandum signing ceremony. The proposed framework encompasses a series of high-stakes diplomatic manoeuvres.

A report broadcast by Fox News detailed that these measures include the reopening of the strategic Strait, the formal termination of the American blockade, and the initiation of a crucial 60-day negotiation period regarding Iran's uranium enrichment activities.

This comprehensive roadmap also integrates substantial sanctions relief alongside a structured ceasefire agreement involving Israel and Hezbollah. (ANI)
