Former Tamil Nadu Industries Minister and DMK leader TRB Rajaa took a dig at Chief Minister Vijay over his recent visit to the United Kingdom (UK), questioning whether the trip was being used to promote investments or shoot reels.

Rajaa said those who came to power by posting reels were now ruling by posting reels, adding that a new reel was being posted every day.

They couldnt find a good location to shoot it here, so they moved to the UK. They went there and posted a bunch of reels, he said.

Rajaa said they could post reels and wear whatever they wanted, but should not bring disrepute to Tamil Nadu by going abroad.

You can post reels, do whatever you want. Its just about what you like. You can wear whatever you want on that side; thats up to you. But please, dont go abroad and bring shame to Tamil Nadu, he said.

Rajaa also spoke about the previous 10 years in Tamil Nadu and credited Chief Minister MK Stalin with working to improve the states position after coming to power during the COVID pandemic.

He claimed that during Stalins five years in office, Tamil Nadu received investments worth around Rs 12.5 lakh crore from companies in India and across the world.

During his five years of good governance, our leader brought in investments worth around 12.5 lakh crore rupees to Tamil Nadu.

That's not just companies from within India in Tamil Nadu, but from all over the world.

The credit for bringing investments worth lakhs of crores of rupees to Tamil Nadu goes entirely to Dravidian leader M Karunanidhi Stalin, Rajaa added.

Rajaa said he had initially welcomed Vijays UK visit, hoping that it would be aimed at attracting investments to Tamil Nadu.

Honestly, right after they arrived, we were all really happy, thinking, Hes taking this abroad for investment promotion, right? In fact, I posted in my diary: all the very best, have a good trip, and bring back good investments, he said.

Rajaa questioned whether Vijay had gone to the UK merely to shoot reels, referring to what he described as a reel craze. (ANI)
