Apple has started preparations for its major September iPhone event, with the company expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and an all-new foldable iPhone at the showcase.
Ahead of the event, Apple has opened an Event Support Experience Program lottery for US retail employees interested in travelling to the company's Apple Park campus to help manage the in-person media gathering, as per Mac Rumours. The selected employees will assist with organising lines, checking in guests, providing directions, greeting attendees, and supporting security teams during the event. Apple has informed employees that the iPhone event will take place in the first half of September, but the company has not shared a more specific date. The tech giant is expected to hold the event on either September 8, September 9. Apple is expected to cover travel and lodging expenses for employees invited to Apple Park to support the media event. However, retail workers who participated in the Worldwide Developers Conference or the iPhone launch in 2025 will not be eligible to participate in the lottery, as per Mac Rumours. Employees can submit entries for the Event Support Experience Program lottery until August 8. Apple plans to inform selected employees about the results on August 17. The upcoming event is expected to be one of Apple's biggest product showcases of the year, with the company preparing to highlight new additions to its iPhone lineup. While Apple has not officially confirmed the products that will be announced, preparations for the event indicate that the company is moving ahead with arrangements for the September launch. (ANI)
