Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), terming the ruling party as the "root" of all problems currently facing the country.
Taking to X, the Samajwadi Party Chief used a metaphor to criticise the government's policies and governance, suggesting that superficial solutions would not work when the core issue remains unaddressed. "When the disease is in the ROOT, no one is going to buy treating the FRUIT. Every problem in the country has just one root, which is stuck there: you've surely heard the name 'BJP'," Yadav wrote in his post. The SP chief further intensified his rhetoric by calling for the removal of the BJP from power, using the slogan: "NO FAST TRACK; BJP GO BACK!" This comes after ongoing huge demonstrations and protests across the country against the national-level examination system and the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Meanwhile, High-level deliberations are set to take place today as representatives of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) are scheduled to meet BJP National President JP Nadda at 12:30 PM at the CCI. The meeting comes amid the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. On Thursday, Students and youth organisations staged a protest in Bhopal against the police action on protesters at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over examination paper leak issues. The protesters also raised concerns over unemployment, demanded that vacant government posts be filled and called for action in the nursing college irregularities case. Students from nearly 20 districts of Madhya Pradesh participated in the demonstration. In Himachal Pradesh, CPI(M) affiliated Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) protested in Shimla in support of the student-led protests against the Union government on the NEET paper leak, demanding the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Protests against NEET irregularities were also held in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Bihar. (ANI)
