Reiterating its zero-tolerance policy on corruption, the Delhi Government has acted decisively against Revenue Department officials in direct public dealings.

Following repeated complaints and serious allegations, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ordered the immediate suspension of the Sub-Registrar of Kapashera and the Tehsildar of Mehrauli, the release said.

The licence of a deed writer in Kapashera has been cancelled, with CM Rekha Gupta stressing that public officers must act with honesty and accountability.

"The licence of a deed writer posted in Kapashera has also been cancelled."

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the Delhi Government's policy is clear: zero tolerance for corruption at any level. She said that officers directly involved in public service are expected to perform their duties with honesty, sensitivity, and accountability. If any officer is found negligent or involved in corruption, they have no right to continue in service.

According to the Delhi Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the Chief Minister said that the people have elected the government with the expectation that their work will be carried out effectively and their problems resolved promptly. Any officer or system that creates obstacles in this process will face strict and effective action.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government was elected by the people with the expectation that public services would be delivered efficiently and that citizens' issues would be addressed promptly.

"This action serves as an example, and if complaints of corruption against any department or officer arise in the future, the government will take strict action without any pressure or discrimination.

She cautioned officials that only those who perform their duties with honesty and a spirit of public service will be allowed to work in the Delhi Government. (ANI)
