Residents of Manjakote block in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, are witnessing a significant improvement in connectivity as a new 3-kilometre road has been completed, bringing long-awaited relief to the region.

Speaking to ANI, Sadaam Hussain, Assistant Engineer and site in-charge, said, "This area was entirely cut off earlier, and the completion of this road ensures year-round connectivity. It will not only facilitate the daily lives of residents but also support the development of tourism and eco-tourism in the region."

The road's completion has been enthusiastically welcomed by locals, who expressed satisfaction that the "project was completed on time, enhancing access to essential services and markets".

Officials emphasised that improved road infrastructure in border blocks, such as Manjakote, plays a crucial role in socio-economic development, strengthening not only connectivity but also security and trade prospects.

The development is expected to boost tourism potential, enabling easier access to the area's natural scenic spots, while also improving residents' standard of living through better access to healthcare, education, and commerce.

The administration continues to focus on similar projects in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to integrate isolated communities and promote overall regional development.

This new road stands as a model of timely execution and quality construction, reflecting the government's commitment to infrastructure growth in border and hilly regions. (ANI)
