Six-Car Pileup on Hyderabad Outer Ring Road Causes Traffic Chaos, No Casualties Reported

A major accident took place on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Hayath Sagar in the Rajendra Nagar police station limits in Hyderabad. Luckily, no casualties were reported, but the vehicles sustained significant damage.

A police official stated, "A six-car pileup occurred on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Hayath Sagar this evening, resulting in damage to the vehicles. Fortunately, there were no casualties. A case has been registered under Section 281."

The crash triggered a 2km traffic jam. All the passengers came out uninjured, as the airbags had deployed. The Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway also witnessed heavy congestion as people returned from Dusshera celebrations.

In another incident, a person died and four others were injured after a Mateshwari wet-lease bus collided with a tempo traveller near Plaza bus stop in Dadar late on Sunday night, a release said.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm, when the bus, operating on route number 169, was returning to Pratiksha Nagar Depot from Worli Depot. As the bus reached the Plaza bus stop, a Tempo traveller coming from Dadar TT towards Shivaji Park lost control and hit the right front tyre of the bus.

Due to the impact, the bus tilted to the left side and hit pedestrians and passengers waiting at the stop. One person, identified as Shahabuddin (37), died on the spot, while four others, Rahul Ashok Padale (30), Rohit Ashok Padale (33), Akshay Ashok Padale (25), and Vidya Rahul Mote (28), sustained injuries.

In a different story, a school van collided with a Fortuner car in the Mahanagar area of Lucknow on Thursday. As per the officials, nine children were inside the school vehicle at the time of the accident. Four of them sustained minor injuries and were given first aid before being sent home.

Among the injured, a Class 10 student suffered a hand fracture, while a Class 7 student sustained a leg injury.

Dr Vandana Singh, Emergency Medical Officer at Bhaurao Devras Civil Hospital, Mahanagar, stated that two injured children were brought in for treatment. (ANI)
