After taking oath as an MLC on Wednesday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader Dasoju Sravan Kumar said that the position is an opportunity of a lifetime.

The senior BRS leader, elected as an MLC under the MLA quota, took his oath in the Telangana Legislative Council on Wednesday. Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy officiated the ceremony.

Speaking to ANI, Sravan Kumar said, "K Chandrashekar Rao has given me an opportunity to serve society and the party as an MLC. I wholeheartedly bow before him and thank him with so much gratitude for giving me this great opportunity. This is a lifetime opportunity for me. I have been in public life for the last 17-18 years...I consider this not as a position of power, but as a position of responsibility and accountability..."

He expressed deep gratitude to K Chandrashekar Rao for giving him the chance to serve both the society and the party.

Earlier, the Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged all party MLAs to intensify public outreach and counter what he described as the Opposition's false propaganda.

Speaking at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting in Hyderabad, he instructed legislators to visit every village in their constituency and directly engage with people from April 16 to June 2.

"It is everyone's responsibility to reach out to people and explain the important decisions made by the government. MLAs should visit every village in their respective Assembly Constituencies from tomorrow to June 2. I will also allocate time to meet people from May 1 to June 2," he said.

The Chief Minister said the party must remain united and committed to strengthening public trust, especially in the face of misinformation. He accused the BJP and BRS of launching a joint campaign using artificial intelligence to mislead the public regarding the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) land issue. (ANI)
