Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has issued a stern warning to police officers whom he accuses of working in favour of current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to the media, Jagan alleged that certain officers were neglecting their official duties and aligning themselves with Naidu's interests, likening their actions to those of "personal watchmen."

He stressed that the current administration's tenure was temporary and warned that any illegal actions by police officials would result in strict legal consequences, including loss of their jobs.

"I'm warning those police officers who are trying to gain the attention of Chandrababu Naidu, ignoring the emblem of the three lions on their caps and acting like his personal watchmen. His rule will not last forever, it will come to an end soon. I'm telling every such officer--we will strip them of their uniforms, present them before the law as accused, and ensure they lose their jobs. Police officers must change their behaviour. This administration is not permanent. For every unlawful action, they will be held accountable, with interest, and made to stand as culprits," Jagan said.

Jagan alleged, "Chandrababu Naidu is using the police and MLAs to provoke violence. The public and God are watching everything, and you will soon be taught a lesson."

"This phase will not continue forever -- days will change, and all those responsible for the atrocities will have to face the consequences. The police should refrain from acting as Chandrababu Naidu's personal watchmen. People are fed up with this coalition and will soon give a fitting response," he added.

Earlier, the YSRCP claimed that Reddy encountered several security lapses during his recent visit to Ramagiri in the Sri Sathya Sai district on Tuesday.

"Despite being a Z+ category protectee, there was no adequate police presence at the helipad. Due to an uncontrolled crowd surge, the helicopter's windshield was damaged. The situation was so risky that the pilots refused to fly back with the VIP, citing security concerns. The helicopter left immediately after Jagan's arrival, and he had to return to Bengaluru by road after completing his program," the party said in a release on Tuesday. (ANI)
