"BJP has become biggest political party in world due to efforts of crores of political workers": Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday participated in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Foundation Day celebrations in Dehradun.

Speaking to mediapersons, the CM said that BJP had become the biggest party in the world due to the efforts of crores of party workers, further stating that the party had made a commitment to develop every corner of Uttarakhand without any discrimination.

"Today, the BJP has become the biggest political party in the world due to the efforts of crores of party workers... We have made a commitment to develop every corner of Uttarakhand without any discrimination..." the Chief Minister said speaking to mediapersons.

He also applauded the historic feat of the clearance of the Waqf Amendment Bill.

"Recently, the historic feat of passing the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Parliament happened under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi..." he said.

Earlier in the day, in a post on social media X, the Chief Minister had congratulated and extended his wishes to all workers of the party.

"Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the workers on the foundation day of Bharatiya Janata Party, the world's largest political organization dedicated day and night in the service of nation building and mother Bharati, dedicated to "integral humanism, cultural nationalism and upliftment of the poor".

"Under the able leadership of the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, every worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party is working with determination to establish India on the world stage as a strong, prosperous and powerful nation by discharging the Panchnishtha principles," he further said.

Formed on April 6, 1980, the BJP is the world's largest political party at present. The origins of the party date back to the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, which was formed in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Over the years, the party has had big names as its president, including former deputy prime minister LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. (ANI)
