The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticised Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over Jhandewalan fire incident in the national capital, saying that did not consider it necessary to comment on the incident.

In a post on X, AAP wrote, "Chief Minister @gupta_rekha Ji, Such a big fire incident happened in Delhi, but you did not consider it necessary to even tweet about this incident. As the Chief Minister of Delhi, is this your responsibility towards the public?"

This comes after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended greetings on Rajasthan Diwas.

A fire broke out in the Anarkali building in Jhandewalan on Monday, spreading to the nearby DDA Shopping Complex.

On information, several fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters, along with Delhi Police personnel, were engaged in dousing the flames.

According to initial reports, some vehicles parked in the vicinity also caught fire.

However, there is no information about anyone being trapped inside the affected buildings.

Authorities have stated that a thorough check will be conducted. (ANI)
