Several vehicles in Jharkhand's Giridih were torched after clashes broke out between two communities on the occasion of Holi late on Friday, as per the officials.

BJP MP Deepak Prakash condemned the Giridih violence and said that the state government is oppressing the Hindu community. He alleged that every time Hindu festivals are celebrated, Hemant Soren people are behind it. Further, Prakash said that due to the same, the FIRs against BJP leaders are registered just for the sake of appeasement politics.

"It is an unfortunate incident and we condemn it. Hemant Soren government is oppressing the Hindu community... Every time Hindu festivals are attacked, Hemant Soren's people are behind it. Then they register FIR against BJP workers and do the politics of appeasement... I want to warn the government to stop this. Otherwise, BJP workers will not delay in struggling against the state government...", Deepak Prakash said to ANI on Saturday.

After the communal clash in Giridih, the administration came into action and have assured that the situation in the region is now under control. The authorities stated that the police is investigating the case.
