Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya addressed a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur and presented his views on the Union Budget 2025-26. Speaking to the reporters, Mandaviya stated that the budget which were presented before was a medium to make announcements; however, since 2014, it has become a roadmap of development. He added that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi spoke about the 21st century but did not have any action plan, due to which his dream remained a dream, whereas he said that PM Modi has created an action plan for developing India until 2047.

"Earlier, the budget was a medium for making announcements, but since 2014, it has been a one-year road map for development. We have to fulfil the resolve we have taken by 2047. Rajiv Gandhi had talked about the 21st century but did not make an action plan so his dream remained a dream but Modi ji has prepared a road map of how a developed India will be built by 2047 and this budget is a form of that", Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said.

Furthermore, Mansukh Mandaviya added that PM Modi has taken a few pledges, which include removing every symbol of colonialism and moving forward with our heritage.

"PM Modi has taken some pledges. Like- symbols of slavery are being removed, we will move forward taking a pledge from our heritage; people of 140 crore people will move forward together step by step, and whatever work is in the field, do it with full dedication. This is not a budget announcement. Congress used to make budget announcements, but we are preparing a one-year road map for development", he added.

Mandaviya added that no tax has been increased in any sector, which includes an increase in the per capita income. He added that highways are being built in India faster than in the USA.

"We did not increase tax in any sector, tax was always low due to GST. Budget increased, i.e. per capita income increased. "Highways are being built at a speed faster than America used to build highways. We are moving ahead at a great pace under Gati Shakti. There is no tax to be paid on income up to Rs. 12 lakhs. 60 lakh people are included in Ayushman Yojana. People aged 70 years and above are included in it. There was a time when our country was in the 5 lowest economies, but in just a decade, it is now included in the 5th growing economies", he added. (ANI)
