Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla took a dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj in the Maha Kumbh along with his family members and said the religious event was a symbol of India's spirituality.
He wished for the well-being of the country's citizens. "This Maha Kumbh of religion, spirituality and culture is divine. There is divine energy here. We pray to Maa Ganga that her blessings remain on all of us," Om Birla told ANI. Interacting with devotees at Sangam Ghat, Om Birla emphasized the significance of Maha Kumbh and described it as a symbol of national unity. He said Maha Kumbh represents harmony and unity and conveys the message of social unity. He described Maha Kumbh as an excellent example of India's cultural heritage, showcasing country's faith and traditions. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal also offered prayers at Sangam during the Maha Kumbh Mela and described as an emotional moment for him. He said the largest religious gathering is a "perfect" example of India's collective spirit. "It's truly an emotional moment. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to visit Maha Kumbh. This is the perfect example of India's collective spirit. More than 50 crore people from India and abroad have visited the Maha Kumbh, showcasing India's growing power," the Union Minister said. He said the religious event would inspire the youth to connect with Hindu traditions. (ANI)
