Jammu and Kashmir: 'Joggers Park' in Poonch providing "clean environment" to locals

The 'Joggers Park' of Poonch has turned out to be a blessing for the local people who are taking full benefit of the park.

A local resident while speaking to ANI opened up about his experience of 'Joggers Park'.

He stated that a lot of developmental work has been done in Poonch and overall Jammu and Kashmir. He added that the joggers park was developed few days ago and a lot of people visit the place. He added that the elderly people come to the joggers park in huge numbers and they also get a clean environment.

The local resident said, "...A lot of development work is being done in Poonch and overall J&K...This jogger park was developed a few days ago. People visit this park in huge numbers, especially elderly people, who get a clean environment here for exercise. ."

Jammu and Kashmir is also moving at a very fast pace in the field of women empowerment. On Tuesday, LIC's Bima Sakhi Scheme was launched in the Doda district. Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh provided certificates to the women who got enrolled in the scheme. He added that the scheme will give an opportunity to women who are atleast 10th pass to earn by sitting an home and will provide boost to women empowerment.

Speaking to ANI, Harvinder Singh said, "In Doda district, women between the age of 18-70 years who have passed at least 10th class, are being enrolled in a scheme of the Govt of India, Bima Sakhi Yojana by passing a basic exam. They will be enrolled with LIC after passing a basic exam. They will have to get some policies done and then they can earn." (ANI)
