As Delhi heads to Assembly polls on February 5, BJP candidate from Malviya Nagar, Satish Upadhyay criticised Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, saying that his tactics have gone old and people have understood his politics.

"People of Delhi have understood his politics of lies, allegations... Arvind Kejriwal's tactics have gone old and people have understood his politics... His graph has gone down and BJP will be winning in Delhi. "I have seen the love and support of the people, as you can see, people are continuously with me and they want to make the lotus bloom and give a rest to AAP," Upadhyay told ANI.

Hitting out at Arvind Kejriwal over choice of star campaigners for Delhi elections, saying that a lot of them are out of bail on various cases.

"I don't know who he wants to make a star campaigner or CM, and you should ask how many of his star campaigners are out on bail," he told ANI.

AAP leaders, including Chief Minister Atishi, national convenors Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, former Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi, AAP's RS MP Raghav Chadha have been included in the star campaigners list released on Sunday.

Various other leaders, such as Sandeep Pathak, Pankaj Gupta, Satyendar Jail, Harbhajan Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imrain Hussain, Mukesh Ahlawat have been included.

The Delhi Assembly elections will take place on February 5, with the vote counting set for February 8.

The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seat. In contrast, the AAP dominated the 2020 assembly elections by winning 62 out of 70 seats while the BJP got only eight seats. (ANI)
