As the battle for Delhi Assembly polls seat heats up, Congress candidate Alka Lamba on Thursday launched a scathing attack on AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi, claiming they are losing the elections.

"Today, the former CM (Arvind Kejriwal) is seeking support from the Chief Ministers of other states to save his ship instead of asking for votes based on his work. BJP has formed its B team (AAP) to oust Congress from the state and the country. Today, the water and air in Delhi is poisonous...AAP candidate from Kalkaji Assembly constituency Atishi is not asking for votes based on her work, she is asking for votes based on the work of the former CM. Arvind Kejriwal insulted the current CM by calling him a temporary CM. Our fight is with AAP. The people of Delhi are trusting the Congress party," she told ANI.

Lamba further questioned, "Why is Arvind Kejriwal not wearing the 'white cap' which he used to wear in the Ramlila Ground?... Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi CM Atishi are losing the elections. The people of the Kalkaji Assembly constituency are living in worse conditions. BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri is out of the race and the women from the Kalkaji Assembly constituency are saying that he has to apologise for his remarks."

Notably, Congress' Alka Lamba is in the electoral fray against incumbent AAP MLA Atishi and BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri in the Kalkaji Assembly seat.

Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi inaugurated the party's election office in Kalkaji Vidhan Sabha and expressed gratitude to the people for the immense support she has received from the constituency over the past five years.

Speaking to the media, she emphasized her hope for continued blessings from the people of Kalkaji.

"Today, we inaugurated our election office in Kalkaji Vidhan Sabha. In the last five years, the people of Kalkaji have blessed me immensely. Today with this inauguration, I hope that people of the constituency continue to shower their love and blessings on me... We organised havan and pooja and inaugurated this office with the blessings of god. AAP has always been blessed by God," CM Atishi said.

The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.

The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seat. In contrast, the AAP dominated the 2020 assembly elections by winning 62 out of 70 seats while the BJP got only eight seats. (ANI)
