Reacting to state Congress president Jitu Patwari's remark that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state government runs schemes only for speeches and events, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that they were doing recruitments and approved lakhs of posts in the last a year.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that they were bound to their sankalp patra (promissory note) and they would fulfill it.

"We are doing recruitment through various advertisements in the state. We have approved 42,500 posts in the health department. In the last one year, we have approved recruitment for more than 1.25 lakh posts. We are bound by our sankalp patra. Along with this, we will recruit for more than 2.5 lakh posts in 5 years. The assurance which we gave in our Sankalp Patra is like Geeta for us and we will fulfil it," CM Yadav told reporters.

The CM further stressed that the MoUs were signed during the Regional Industry Conclaves to give opportunities to over 3,00,000 youth in private sectors as well. He hoped that everyone should get employment on the basis of their intellect.

The CM also talked about the two schemes, Parth scheme and Madhya Pradesh Yuva Prerak Abhiyan (MPYP), started on Wednesday by the Sports and Youth Welfare department for the betterment of youth in the state, saying the youth would get employment in the future through these schemes.

"Today, we are happy that the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare has brought two schemes and through these schemes the youth will get employment in the future. I am delighted that under Parth Yojna, youth will be provided coaching and all kinds of help to students for recruitment in the Army, Police and other departments. By relying on these schemes, the youth will not only get a chance of future prospects in their lives, but also they will make the state proud," the CM said.

Earlier, when Congress leader Patwari was asked about the state government starting Parth scheme, he said, "So far the state government runs around 300 schemes verbally, and we don't know when many of them stopped. They (state BJP govt) runs schemes verbally only for speeches, events and headlines. 73 schemes of various departments were stopped and now brought another scheme. It (Parth scheme) is about training for the police department and no jobs will be generated in the department."

"First provide employment to the youth before training. The state government is only an event performing government, speaking lies and headlines making government. This is a government of theft, commission and corruption," Patwari further alleged. (ANI)
