BJP National President JP Nadda on Tuesday in a public rally at Giridih in Jharkhand expressed confidence in a wave of support for the BJP and NDA in the upcoming elections.

He stated that there's no one better than the BJP-NDA to wish well for Jharkhand, highlighting PM Modi's efforts in bringing the state into the mainstream.

Nadda praised the BJP's role in creating Jharkhand, giving credit to Atal Bihar Vajpayee. He proudly claimed that the BJP made the state and will be the one to make it prosper.

The party has also marked the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Adivasi Gaurav Diwas, showcasing their commitment to the state's heritage.

"There is a wave in favour of BJP & NDA in Jharkhand...There is no one other than BJP-NDA who is a well-wisher of Jharkhand. PM Modi has done the work of bringing Jharkhand into the mainstream...The credit for the creation of Jharkhand goes to Atal Bihar Vajpayee. We can proudly say that we made this state and only we will make it prosper...We did the work of marking the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Adivasi Gaurav Diwas....," said the BJP National President.

He also launched a scathing attack against the ruling INDIA alliance in Jharkhand, which he alleged indulged in massive corruption and promoted dynastic politics at the cost of people's welfare.

He called on the people to uproot Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, RJD and Congress from the state and form the BJP-NDA govt in the state.

"The time has come for Jharkhand to uproot Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, RJD and Congress from the state and form BJP-NDA govt here. Where there are JMM, Congress and RJD, there is corruption and familial politics there," said Nadda.

"There is a wave in favour of BJP and NDA in Jharkhand... The people have made up their minds to get rid of this JMM-led corrupt government," he added.

He slammed RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for opposing the agitation for the formation of Jharkhand.

"When the agitation for the creation of Jharkhand was going on Lalu Prasad Yadav opposed the formation of Jharkhand saying it could be created over his dead body. Lalu ji you are still alive and Jarkhand also exists. We also bring Adivasi people and leaders into the mainstream," he added.

The BJP president also urged the people to vote for the BJP-led NDA in the upcoming Assembly election to bring "fast development".

"Today under PM Modi's leadership the country is developing fast. You have to know this. We want this fast development to happen in Jharkhand too," he said.

Nadda said that while many other major economies around the world struggled in the post-pandemic period, the Indian economy continues to be a bright spot.

"After Covid, the US economy has shaken, the European economy has shaken, Japan's economy has shaken, and Australia's economy has shaken, but the IMF and other international institutions say if there is any bright spot it is in India which is developing fast," he said.

The first phase of elections in Jharkhand is scheduled to take place on Wednesday and the second phase is scheduled for November 20.

The votes will be counted on November 23. In the previous assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 and Congress won 16 seats. (ANI)
