Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Foreign Affairs Department in-charge, Vijay Chauthaiwale, on Monday said that it has become a pattern, after the attack on Hindu Temple in Canada.

Chauthaiwale blamed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government for the attack and accused police for 'lack of action'.

"Since the last three-four years when Justin Trudeau has come to power, it has become a pattern to break Hindu temples in Canada and write dirty things about Hinduism on the walls. All this is being ignored by the Justin Trudeau government of Canada. Today we saw that on the occasion of Diwali festival, when Indian people came to Hindu temples with their families, relatives and children, during that time Khalistani protested entered the temples and also lathi-charged. Many children have also been injured. During this time, the Canadian police stood and watched the whole matter," Chauthaiwale said.

Referring to the viral videos of the incident, Chauthaiwale accused Canadian police of killing and arresting Hindus.

"Many such videos have gone viral in which it can be seen that instead of controlling the protesting Khalistanis, the Canadian police is killing and arresting Hindus," Chauthaiwale said.

Holding Trudeau's government responsible for the incident, Chauthaiwale said they are supporting Khalistanis

"This shows that the Justin Trudeau government of Canada is responsible for all these matters. These people are supporting the Khalistanis. Who are openly supporting the Khalistanis. This proves that today violence took place inside temples which happened due to collusion between Khalistan protest and Canadian police," he said.

Vijay Chauthaiwala said that whatever steps the Indian government has to take at the diplomatic level, it is taking them.

"Today the entire Hindu society is condemning this incident. Talking about the sarcasm of the Congress government, Vijay Chauthaiwala said that if the Congress does anything, it will blame the Modi government. Will the Modi government send the Indian police for the attack in Canada? They should tell what the Indian government should do which it is not doing. Instead of giving such political statements, the Congress party should stand behind the Hindu society and support them. This is completely the result of the mistake of the Justin Trudeau government and the whole of India is standing strongly behind the Hindus there," he said.

On Justin Trudeau condemning the attack on social media X, Chauthaiwala reacted, "Justin Trudeau talks about the Hindus settled in Canada. Nothing will happen by promising to protect Hindus and posting on Twitter, he will have to protect Hindus on the ground as well. Only then will their seriousness be proven but the experience so far is that the Justin Trudeau government does not seem to be serious at all on this matter.

Earlier, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) condemned the acts of violence perpetrated by extremists and separatists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario yesterday.

"We call on the Government of Canada to ensure that all places of worship are protected from such attacks. We also expect that those indulging in violence will be prosecuted. We remain deeply concerned about the safety and security of Indian nationals in Canada," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in response to media queries regarding violence in Brampton.

"The outreach of our Consular officers to provide services to Indians and Canadian citizens alike will not be deterred by intimidation, harassment and violence," he added.

India has been repeatedly expressing its deep concern about extremism and the culture of violence and anti-India activities in Canada and has been seeking action against these activities. (ANI)
