BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday claimed that Hindus in JD(U), RJD, Communist parties, Congress and BJP are supporting his 'Hindu Swabhiman Yatra' in Bihar.

The union minister remarks followed JD(U) leader Khalid Anwar's accusation that Singh holds an "extremist ideology," on the basis of which Bihar cannot be governed.

Singh further said that he is not afraid of going to jail.

"Jail is nothing. I will keep fighting this fight till the last drop of my blood. If they want to demolish temples, do love jihad, spit jihad, education jihad and land jihad, let them. Hindus of JD(U), RJD, Communist, Congress and BJP are with us. This yatra is not of political leaders or parties," Giriraj Singh told ANI.

Earlier in the day, Khalid Anwar accused Giriraj Singh of wanting to tear the social fabric of Bihar with his Hindu Swabhiman Yatra. The senior BJP leader had embarked on a 'Hindu Swabhiman Yatra' from Bhagalpur district in the state Bihar on Friday.

"I am thankful to the BJP, who have distanced themselves from the extremist ideology of Giriraj Singh. They have proven that Bihar is the place of brotherhood. Bihar cannot run with the ideology of people like Giriraj Singh," Anwar told ANI.

"If you think that you can break Bihar with your yatras, then you must know that this is Nitish Kumar's government which will not spare anyone. If Giriraj Singh does anything that may break the society, then our government will take action against them," he added.

Anwar said that the BJP leadership is capable of taking action against Giriraj Singh.

"I think he is being observed on a micro level. The BJP will soon distance him from the party," Anwar said.

Singh had on Friday said that the Hindu Swabhiman Yatra was not organised by the BJP and that the purpose of the yatra was to ensure the safety of Hindus.

"I was born as a Hindu and I will die as a Hindu. My goal is to unite Hindus before I die," he said during the launch of the yatra.

Before embarking his yatra, he accused leaders of INDIA bloc of indulging in Muslim appeasement.

Giriraj Singh claimed that Akhilesh Yadav's DNA is (Hindu Virodhi) "anti-Hindu" since his late father and former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav had also ordered police firing at Karsevaks in 1990.

"Akhilesh Yadav did not utter a single word on Bahraich incident, just for the sake of votes. His DNA is anti-Hindu. His father Mulayam Singh Yadav also ordered firing at Karsevaks," said Giriraj Singh.

The Union Minister also took a shot at the other INDIA bloc leaders and said, "Tejashwi Yadav will not utter a word on Bahraich. Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav or Akhilesh Yadav will not speak on Bengal. This is all for the Muslim votes."

Giriraj Singh also spoke to ANI on the Bahraich encounter and said, "Such criminals deserve such punishment only. Let Akhilesh Yadav garland them." (ANI)
