A half-burnt body of an unidentified woman was found in West Bengal's Nadia district, a top police said on Wednesday evening.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Krishnagar, K Amarnath said in a statement that the body was found near the Krishnanagar Stadium next to the Ramakrishna Palli Durga Mandap. Police have arrested one suspect in connection with the matter. The identity of the body was found later, said police. "A partially burnt body of an unidentified woman was found near the Krishnanagar Stadium next to the Ramakrishna Palli Durga Mandap. The body has been identified and we have arrested one person. We have asked the forensic experts and the dog squad to investigate the case," SP Amarnath He added, "further investigation is underway..." (ANI)
