Women wrestlers sexual harassment case: Victim wrestler's cross examination ends after 8 hours marathon hearing

The Rouse Avenue court on Thursday concluded recording of statement of one of the victim woman wrestlers after around 8 hours long cross examination by the counsel for former WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The victim was brought to the court in the security. Her statement was recorded in a vulnerable witness room.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Priyanka Rajpoot recorded the cross examination on Thursday.

The recording of cross examination began around 12.45 PM in the pre-lunch session. Thereafter, it was resumed around 2.15 PM and continued till around 9 PM.

Advocate Rajiv Mohan, counsel for Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, cross-examined the victim/witness in the vulnerable witness room in the Rouse Avenue court.

Former WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was also present during the hearing.

Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Atul Srivastava and the investigation officer of the case were also present during the hearing.

Now the court has listed the matter for recording of statement of another witness, Narender on October 14. (ANI)
