Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao came down heavily on Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy and said that he had not been doing any constructive work, following Kumaraswamy's demand for the resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamiah in the alleged MUDA land scam.

Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Rao said that he had lost all respect for Kumaraswamy since he became the Union Minister and that he had been behaving in a very irresponsible manner.

He further stated that they believed that CM Siddaramaiah had done nothing wrong and that Kumaraswamy had no principles or moral values.

"Since H. D. Kumaraswamy has become the Union Minister, he has lost my respect. I don't see him doing any constructive work. He is behaving in a very irresponsible manner. The Chief Minister's issue is being investigated... We believe that the CM has done nothing wrong... H. D. Kumaraswamy has no principles and moral values. The kind of things that he has done and the track record of him and his family opens a huge Pandora's box," Gundu Rao said.

"He is someone who has no principles. He is a man without principles. He is a man without ideology. For him, power is the only ideology he has. How to get power, how to grab power and that is only ideology. So from him, we cannot expect too much," he added.

Earlier Wednesday, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy accused CM Siddaramaiah of systematic attempts to destroy evidence and cover up the MUDA scam.

He insisted that the MUDA commissioner, who took back the plots from CM's wife, should be arrested immediately for violating court orders.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday hardened his position on the allegations related to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam and once again reiterated that he would not resign, identifying himself as a self-witness in the matter.

Siddaramaiah also distinguished his situation from that of BS Yeddyurappa, stating that the former Chief Minister's case involved land denotification, while he was not involved in such matters. He further expressed his intent to address the situation legally, regardless of investigations by the Enforcement Directorate or other entities. (ANI)
